Job title: Chemistry Adjunct Faculty
About the Role The University of La Verne invites applications for part-time Chemistry Adjunct Faculty to teach undergraduate chemistry courses on the La Verne Main Campus. The successful candidate will provide instruction across a full range of chemistry courses and associated laboratories.
What You'll Do
- Teach undergraduate chemistry courses including Introduction to Chemistry, General Chemistry, Topics in Modern Chemistry, Energy Issues, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, and corresponding laboratories.
- Contribute to the department's curriculum and support student learning in a collegial on-campus environment.
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree in Chemistry or related field from a regionally-accredited institution with at least two years of collegiate teaching experience, or Doctorate degree in Chemistry or related field from a regionally-accredited institution, or The Equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to teach a broad range of chemistry topics and maintain high teaching standards.
Nice to Have
- Preference given to candidates with prior teaching experience at the college or university level and evidence of strong teaching.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hiring Pay Rate: Adjunct Instructor (no terminal degree) $27.04 per hour; Adjunct Professor (with terminal degree) $28.08 per hour.
