Chemical Operator Trainee
Join Clariant and contribute to creating a purpose by developing your skills in chemical production operations within our Care Chemicals Business Unit in Mt. Holly, NC. As a Chemical Operator Trainee, you will learn and support daily production activities, gain hands-on experience operating process equipment, handling raw materials, and following established safety and quality procedures. You will work alongside experienced Chemical Operators, building the knowledge and skills needed to safely and effectively operate production processes while contributing to a reliable and efficient manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Train on Production operations in assigned plant.
- Learn various functions & responsibilities in assigned plant.
- Learn and use SAP system transactions that relate to production, inventory management and material movement.
- Assist Chemical Operators (Levels 1, 2 & 3s) in all phases of process equipment operation.
- Operate assigned production equipment & processes.
- Read batch sheets, standard operating procedures, and material safety data sheets and understand the importance of each.
- Learn proper chemical charging and sampling procedures.
- Follow operating instructions to produce a quality product.
- Use forklift frequently to move raw materials and finished goods.
Requirements

High school diploma

Prior chemical experience is a plus.

Basic understanding of computers, good math skills, good reading comprehension
