About the Role The Chemical Loader Intern will join BASF’s Freeport site to gain hands-on experience in loading and unloading chemicals and related materials. The role involves operating across multiple modes (truck, rail, marine, totes, drums), performing rail switching, and assisting with equipment troubleshooting, with potential progression to full-time opportunities after the internship. What You'll Do
- Unload inbound raw materials and load outbound finished goods across truck, rail, marine, totes, drums.
- Perform rail switching activities, including operating a railcar mover, groundman for switching, operating a rail switch, and crossing guard functions.
- Provide troubleshooting of equipment and identify maintenance needs; communicate when maintenance is required.
