About the Role The Lawson Group is seeking a Chemical Exposure Consultant to support chemical exposure consulting services for New Hampshire businesses. You will perform risk assessments, monitor exposure, and provide training to help protect workers from silica, lead, asbestos, solvents, welding fumes, and indoor air quality issues. What You'll Do
- Conduct chemical risk assessments and real-exposure monitoring through air sampling and on-site monitoring; compare results to OSHA limits and identify actionable steps to reduce risk.
- Evaluate PPE usage and perform PPE exposure evaluations to ensure proper selection and worker understanding.
- Provide practical training on toxic chemical handling and hazard communication.
- Develop chemical spill response plans, train staff, and support implementation to minimize incident impact.
- Perform specialized chemical exposure monitoring for complex or regulated chemicals.
- Assess indoor air quality and ventilation as part of exposure considerations and help identify root causes.
- Communicate findings clearly and provide practical recommendations to stakeholders to reduce exposures. What We're Looking For
- Knowledge of common chemical hazards (silica, lead, asbestos, solvents, welding fumes) and how exposures occur.
- Experience with air sampling and exposure monitoring; ability to analyze samples, interpret results, and report findings.
- Ability to translate technical results into actionable risk-reduction steps for workers and management.
- Strong communication and training skills; able to engage with clients and frontline workers.
- Familiarity with OSHA requirements and industrial exposure limits.
- Willingness to collaborate with a local team across New England. Nice to Have
- Experience with indoor air quality and ventilation issues linked to chemical exposure.
