About the Role The Chauffeur et Livreur (Classe 3) is responsible for safely transporting and delivering gas cylinders to customer sites in Rouyn-Noranda, QC. The role includes loading and unloading cylinders, verifying quantities and types against shipping documents, and performing vehicle inspections to ensure safe operations. What You'll Do
- Load and unload cylinders, verify counts and product types, and ensure the actual shipment matches shipping documents
- Verify and affix appropriate vehicle signage in compliance with Transport des marchandises dangereuses (TMD) regulations
- Follow operating and safety procedures during task execution
- Complete shipping documents and related paperwork; fill travel logs, fuel receipts, and other required reports
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections; report defects or anomalies to supervisor
- Identify repair or maintenance needs and ensure work is completed with minimal impact on operations What We're Looking For
- At least two (2) years of driving experience with AZ / DZ / Class 1 or Class 3 licenses
- Valid provincial driver's license in good standing with endorsement for pneumatic brakes
- Ability to handle gas cylinders of various sizes and weights
- Knowledge of compressed gases and safe handling practices
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
- Training in Hazardous Materials Transportation (TMD) and the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (SIMDUT) Compensation & Benefits
