About the Role The Chaplaincy Program Coordinator leads campus chaplaincy efforts at the University of Rio Grande, extending ministry to all students, staff, faculty and administration to facilitate the personal spiritual unfolding of individuals. The program maintains a non-sectarian, non-doctrinaire approach and does not seek to enforce a particular creed. What You'll Do

  • Lead and coordinate the Chaplaincy Program to serve the campus community.
  • Provide spiritual support, counseling, and guidance within the program's non-sectarian framework.
  • Develop and provide activities such as Bible studies, counseling, residence hall programs, small groups, lectures, and other events.
  • Work to enrich student life by collaborating with student groups (e.g., Student Government Association) and offering opportunities for personal growth.
  • Be available through office visits or appointments as a volunteer chaplain and maintain accessibility. What We're Looking For
  • Willingness to serve as a volunteer chaplain and to minister to a diverse student body of many faiths.
  • Ability to operate within denominational boundaries while upholding a non-sectarian campus environment.
  • Respect for First Amendment rights; a commitment to providing support without imposing doctrine.
  • Strong interpersonal and listening skills; ability to collaborate with campus groups and respond to student needs. Compensation & Benefits
