About the Role The Chair and Program Director leads the Department of Physician Assistant Studies and oversees the PA Program at Mississippi Christian University (formerly Mississippi College). This is a senior academic leadership position responsible for program governance, accreditation readiness, curriculum and scholarly activity, and student mentoring within a faith-based university. What You'll Do

  • Lead and oversee the Physician Assistant Studies program as Chair and Program Director, ensuring high-quality education and compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Manage faculty and staff, guide curriculum development, assessment, and scholarly activity, and foster a culture of mentorship and professional development.
  • Maintain strong clinical and academic partnerships, including the relationship with the University of Mississippi Medical School, and coordinate clinical rotations and experiential learning.
  • Oversee program budget, resources, and operations; participate in strategic planning and accreditation self-study cycles.
  • Mentor students and faculty, promote work–life balance and the university’s Christian mission; offer opportunities for clinical practice as appropriate.
  • Support ongoing program evaluation and quality improvement. What We're Looking For
  • Minimum five years of clinical experience and three additional years of academic/health-related teaching and/or administrative experience.
  • Current or emeritus NCCPA certification and a Master’s or Doctorate degree in a relevant field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong leadership and collaboration abilities.
  • Commitment to continued professional development, scholarly work, and to the Christian faith in a university setting.
  • Experience with accreditation processes and program leadership is preferred. Nice to Have
  • Experience with international clinical rotation sites.
  • Prior involvement in self-study and accreditation cycles. Compensation & Benefits
