Certified Surgical Technologist First Assistant | CVOR FA

About the Role Logan Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist First Assistant to perform first assistant responsibilities under the surgeon's direction in the CVOR. This role supports preoperative patient management and provides precise surgical exposure, hemostasis, and wound closure across multiple service lines, including cardiovascular surgeries. What You'll Do

• Collaborate with a skilled surgical team and assist surgeons in performing life-saving procedures.
• Utilize your expertise to provide precise surgical exposure, hemostasis, and wound closure.
• Play a critical role in preoperative patient management, working closely with healthcare providers to deliver top-tier patient care.
• Showcase your proficiency in multiple service lines, bringing your experience to challenging, high-stakes cardiovascular surgeries. What We're Looking For
• Graduates of approved Surgical Technologist programs or military training with First Assist certification.
• Surgical Technologists with a minimum of two years of scrub tech first assist experience and proficiency in CVOR procedures.

Additional qualifications from the detailed job posting include:

• Graduate of an approved school of Operating Room Technicians or military trained.
• Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologist (AST) or NCCT.
• Graduate of a First Assistant (FA) program.
• Minimum of two years’ scrub and/or first assistant experience.
• Proficient in multiple service lines; CVOR first assist experience in CABG, TAVR and Valves.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Excellent organizational, critical-thinking, and multitasking abilities; ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive/confidential situations with tact and professionalism.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to multi-task in an ever-changing workload environment. Compensation & Benefits
• Salary: $32.25 - $52.15 per hour (USD) depending on experience.
• Schedule: Day Shift - 10 hours; Full-Time.
