About the Role Certified Surgical Tech will support the Main Operating Room in Glenview, IL, providing intraoperative scrub duties, instrument preparation, and patient care assistance. This part-time role requires precise sterile technique and on-call availability to ensure efficient operative flow. What You'll Do
- Perform scrub person duties during the intraoperative phase of surgical procedures
- Assist in the preparation and dispensing of instruments, equipment and supplies required for surgical procedures
- Conduct all instrument, needle, sharps and sponge counts, as well as handle specimens
- Assist in the application of dressings or casts and moving patients
- Assist in decontamination/reprocessing area when assigned
- Maintain inventory in Operating Room and on carts
- On-call rotation required What We're Looking For
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of an approved Surgical Technologist school or minimum 3 years’ experience as a Surgical Technologist
- Certification: Current CPR certification required. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) highly preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced OR environment with strong sterile technique and teamwork
- Availability to work Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm with on-call rotation Nice to Have
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) highly preferred
- Experience in a Main Operating Room environment and/or with on-call scheduling Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $26.61 - $39.92 per hour
