Job title: Certified Nursing Assistant - Post Surgical Unit
About the Role The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides high-quality, compassionate, and efficient patient care under the direction and supervision of licensed nursing staff. In alignment with Oregon’s updated 2025 CNA certification standards, the CNA performs a comprehensive range of clinical, clerical, and support functions that promote patient health, safety, and dignity. All CNA tasks are carried out under the direction of a Registered Nurse, who provides guidance and oversight to ensure safe and appropriate care delivery.
What You'll Do
- Assist with daily living activities for patients in the Post Surgical Unit.
- Collect objective data and report to licensed nursing staff.
- Support therapeutic interventions as directed.
- Maintain accurate documentation in patient records and electronic health records.
- Coordinate unit activities and communicate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment; adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
- Perform CNA duties under the direction and oversight of a Registered Nurse.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current, valid Oregon CNA certification (per the 2025 unified certification requirements).
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous CNA experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, observational, and communication skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively; ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Proficiency in basic computer use and electronic documentation; familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
- Must communicate clearly and effectively in English via reading, writing, and speaking.
- Demonstrates reliability, professionalism, and punctuality.

- Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.

- Salary: $19.36 - $28.74 USD per hour.
