Job title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
About the Role The CNA provides basic nursing care to patients under the direction and supervision of assigned leadership in the Conrad LTC unit. This role supports patient priorities, coordinates care with the care team, and maintains patient privacy and safety in a compassionate, team-focused environment.
What You'll Do
- Deliver and assist in basic patient care under guidance of leadership and as assigned to the area.
- Perform CNA assessments and take vital signs; inform appropriate stakeholders of abnormal findings per protocol.
- Maintain patient privacy as defined by Logan Health policies.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living; document care promptly per department procedures.
- Maintain inventory, restock rooms, and ensure equipment safety and cleanliness.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with Medicare and applicable regulatory standards.
- Work with stakeholders to set and maintain priorities for patient care tasks.
- Assist in administrative duties and day-to-day operations per department procedures.
- Promote a safe and therapeutic environment; provide personal care per department procedures.
- Maintain regular attendance as scheduled and adapt to schedule needs.
What We're Looking For
- Current Montana CNA certificate.
- CPR certification as applicable to assigned area.
- Previous work experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Home Health Aide certification preferred or must obtain within six months of hire.
- Understanding of confidentiality laws (HIPAA) and patient privacy.
- Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, self-starter with critical thinking abilities; able to prioritize and work in a team and independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate with various audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact and professionalism.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.
- Commitment to teamwork and maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 healthcare environment.
Nice to Have
- Home Health Aide certification (preferred or must obtain within six months)
- Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting.
