GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the Residential Services Manager, this position assists in the development and implementation of individual program plans; serves as an advocate and role model for all residential clients; plans and supervises client activities; ensures medication administration is completed accurately and per regulations and policies; assists clients with community integration; documents observations and results of all interventions; upholds client rights including confidentiality and maintenance of the residences. Employee is responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and healthy environment.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures medications are administered as directed and effectiveness is documented per physician orders and in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Reviews and is aware of each client’s Individual Program Plan (IPP) and Residential Treatment Program (RTP) and ensures specific training and/or guidance is completed as outlined in plans.
• Works directly with clients and ensures an environment conducive to client learning in the areas of self-care skills, social interaction, and community interaction.
• Assists in the development and implementation of schedules for group programming, activities, and residential chore schedules and outings.
• Models appropriate social behavior while providing a supportive and therapeutic atmosphere for clients.
• Investigates and responds promptly to questions or complaints
