Job title: Certified Medication Aide - Memory Care (MC)
About the Role We are seeking a Certified Medication Aide for Memory Care to safely administer prescribed medications and provide nursing care to residents in a memory care community. You will help with activities of daily living (ADLs), maintain medication records, and assist with dining and daily living services while ensuring compliance with MAR/TAR and regulatory guidelines.
What You'll Do
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments per MAR/TAR under supervision
- Count and verify narcotics, manage medication keys, and report discrepancies to a supervisor
- Order and restock medications and supplies; notify if supply is low
- Receive, verify, and store medications according to pharmacy labels; document appropriately
- Maintain medication carts and perform weekly/daily cleaning and restocking
- Provide personal care to residents (bathing, grooming, oral care, incontinence care) and general nursing tasks (vital signs, temperatures, BP, weights)
- Document information in daily logs and communicate concerns; respond to emergencies
- Participate in training and ensure medical charts are complete within required timelines
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living, room cleanliness, and dining services as needed
What We're Looking For
- Current Medication Technician certification as required by state regulations
- High school diploma or GED; 1+ months of senior living experience preferred
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and English proficiency
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong time management; team player
- Willingness to comply with vaccination requirements where applicable
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in memory care environments and MAR/TAR processes
- Availability to work nights and alternating weekends (11p-7a; 7p-7a) if applicable
