About the Role Certified Medical Assistant to join the Primary Care team at VNACJ Community Health Center (a VNACJ CHC site). This per-diem role supports providers, engages with patients, and helps ensure smooth, efficient visits across four NJ locations (Asbury Park, Red Bank, Freehold, Keyport). What You'll Do
- Support organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers
- Assist provider with patient workflow and maintaining clinical records
- Executes order and performs related duties as ordered according to standard operating procedure
- Maintains laboratory proficiency and required log books and records
- Assists in coordination, management and documentation of medications, supplies and referrals
- Adheres to agency infection control and safety policies
- Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance
- Travel across four Community Health Center sites (Asbury Park, Red Bank, Freehold, Keyport) as needed What We're Looking For
- High School diploma or GED
- Medical Assistant Certificate from an approved school
- 6 month+ of supervised medical assistant experience preferred
- Experience in EKG and phlebotomy
- CPR certification
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s license and auto insurance
- Willingness to travel among four CHC sites (Asbury Park, Red Bank, Freehold, Keyport) Nice to Have
- 6 months+ of supervised medical assistant experience preferred (already listed)
- Experience in primary care or community health settings Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: USD $20.00 to USD $26.00 per hour
