About the Role Join a busy, well-established specialty medical practice as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). The role requires strong clinical and administrative skills and hands-on Athena EMR experience to support physicians and deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.
What You'll Do
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Obtain and document vital signs and patient histories
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
- Accurately document patient information in Athena EMR
- Enter physician orders and referral information
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and families
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
What We're Looking For
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
- Athena EMR experience required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong computer and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and patient service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office
Nice to Have
- Registry certification preferred
- Women's Health, OB/GYN, or specialty clinic experience preferred
- Experience with insurance authorizations and referrals
