About the Role Our Certified Caregivers (CNAs) provide non-medical in-home care for Griswold Home Care clients in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area. This role focuses on compassionate support, including ADL assistance, meal prep, companionship, light housekeeping, and accurate client reporting to help clients maintain independence at home.
What You'll Do
- Perform tasks and activities in the client’s residence as detailed on the Client Requested Services and care plan
- Able to prepare simple meals
- Perform personal care tasks that could include assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, ambulating or transferring), meal preparation or assisting with eating, and driving clients to appointments or errands
- Conduct companionship/sitter tasks (walking, exercising, reading, visiting, talking, game playing, puzzles)
- Perform other tasks such as safety supervision, medication reminders, laundry, light housekeeping, shopping
- Report changes in client’s condition to the Agency; maintain a clean, well-groomed appearance
- Maintain reliable transportation to and from clients’ homes; if transportation is required, have a valid driver’s license, appropriate liability insurance, and a positive driving record
What We're Looking For
- Be at least 18 years old; able to lift up to 40 pounds and alternate between stationary and traversing positions
- Provide non-medical in-home care including ADL assistance, meal prep, companionship, light housekeeping, and client reporting
- Able to read and understand care plans; strong language and literacy skills for communication
- Criminal background clearance and TB clearance according to Griswold policy
- At least 3 satisfactory references or employment verifications
- High school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred
- Must have reliable transportation; for cases requiring transportation, valid driver’s license, state minimum liability insurance, and a positive driving record
- Empathy for vulnerable older adults, independence, punctuality, and a cheerful outlook
