Job title: Certified Athletic Trainer | PRN
About the Role This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining an all-sport, school-based athletic training program in coordination with the team physician and LTAD program. It supports Logan Health's mission, vision, and values by delivering high-quality athletic training services in alignment with national standards and ethical guidelines.
What You'll Do
- Provide athletic training services under the direction of the team physician and LTAD team, following LTAD treatment pathways and the NATA Code of Ethics.
- Conduct initial evaluations, document findings, and communicate injury status to defined stakeholders.
- Plan, implement, and document preventive and rehabilitation services, ensuring compliance with physician restrictions and LTAD goals.
- Serve as a liaison for effective communication regarding injury status and outcomes to the LTAD team and other stakeholders.
- Manage ongoing evaluation of progress through rehabilitation, documenting outcomes and adjusting plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and current medical records, ensure HIPAA compliance, and keep the clinical environment organized and safe.
- Collaborate with the LTAD team to develop and implement outreach services within the scope of athletic training and community programs within the defined budget.
- Prepare proposals and plans for services as directed.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certification by the Board of Certification (ATC) required; Montana licensure (LAT) required.
- Current membership with NATA preferred.
- Minimum of two years athletic training experience preferred.
- RQI Provider (BLS) within seven days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care, whichever comes first, required.
- Minimum of FMS Level 1 certification preferred.
- Experience with Rank1Sports and ImPACT software preferred.
- Demonstrated integrity, kindness, empathy, and ability to work in a team and independently.
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills; ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact and diplomacy.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.
