Job title: Ceramic Lab Technician – Level 1
About the Role A Ceramic Lab Technician – Level 1 will use handheld and bench-mounted measuring devices to determine product quality and will measure, assess, and record data for various ceramic production processes in a lab environment.
What You'll Do
- Cut and collect test coupons from thermal processes
- Conduct dimensional checks on kiln process control keys and test bars for multiple facilities
- Perform destructive tests for kiln process control and material certifications for multiple material mixes and for PCC foundries
- Operate x-ray diffract
What We're Looking For
- Experience using handheld and bench-mounted measuring devices to determine product quality
- Ability to measure, assess, and record data for various processes and material production methods in a ceramics lab
- Experience performing dimensional checks and destructive tests
- Familiarity with kiln process control keys, test bars, and multiple facilities/material mixes
- Basic familiarity with X-ray diffract equipment
