Job title: Centerless Grinder Setup/Operator
About the Role Under general supervision, the role involves performing a variety of duties related to the proficient setup of Centerless Grind machines, including determining setup, tooling, and part specifications, operating the machines, and ensuring quality in production.
What You'll Do
- Review router to determine setup, tooling and specifications of parts
- Select and place abrasive grind wheel and make appropriate adjustments
- Perform set-up and operation of Centerless Grind machines effectively and within specified time frames
- Provide information for Inspector evaluation and validation of quality
- Meet quality, production and re-work targets in assigned work area by inspecting parts during production to ensure they are produced to required dimensions and conform to all specifications
- Utilization of Statistical Process Control (SPC) as needed
- Utilization of AIC Job Clock Sys
What We're Looking For
- Knowledge of setting up Centerless Grind machines
- Ability to review router to determine setup, tooling and specifications
- Ability to select and place abrasive grinding wheel and make adjustments
- Ability to perform set-up and operation within specified time frames
- Focus on meeting quality and production targets; ability to inspect parts during production to ensure conformance to specifications
