Job title: Centerless Grinder Setup Technician
About the Role Under general supervision, this role involves the proficient setup and operation of Centerless Grind machines, ensuring parts meet required specifications and production targets.
What You'll Do
- Review router to determine setup, tooling and specifications of parts
- Select and place abrasive grind wheel and make appropriate adjustments
- Perform set-up and operation of machines effectively and within specified time frames
- Provide information for Inspector evaluation and validation of quality
- Meet quality, production and re-work targets in assigned work area by inspecting parts during production to ensure they are produced to required dimensions and conform to all specifications
- Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) as needed
- Utilize AIC Job Clock Sys
What We're Looking For
- Experience with setup of Centerless Grind machines and ability to interpret routers, tooling and part specs
- Skills to select and place abrasive grind wheel and make adjustments
- Ability to set up and run machines within required time frames and meet production targets
- Attention to quality and ability to inspect parts for correct dimensions and conformance to specs
- Familiarity with SPC and AIC Job Clock Sys is a plus
