Job title: CDL Driver
About the Role We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused CDL Driver to support daily chemical distribution operations. This role involves the safe and efficient operation of Class 8 tractors and related equipment to transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials, including both liquid and dry products, while adhering to DOT/OSHA and Brenntag safety standards.
What You'll Do
- Drive a Class 8 power unit for chemical distribution, including hazmat and non-hazmat materials (liquids and solids).
- Perform bulk deliveries (liquids and solids) and packaged deliveries in drums, IBCs, pallets, and supersacks; load/unload using appropriate equipment, secure product, and complete required documentation.
- Manage end-to-end delivery processes: loading/unloading, product transfer, proper securing, and paperwork; operate pumps and related equipment as needed.
- Follow Brenntag operating procedures and site safety policies; conduct pre-inspections; maintain daily logs; load/unload safely; placarding and reporting repairs as required.
- Maintain and care for assigned equipment (ELDs, cameras, telematics) and ensure good housekeeping; communicate delivery instructions with supervisor/dispatcher.
- Interact with customers/vendors, perform in-plant movements and inter-company transfers as required.
- Adhere to required certifications (e.g., pallet jacks or forklift if location requires); operate dock locks/levelers as needed.
- Maintain local residence within sixty miles and complete pre-employment checks.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma, GED, or US military experience; or relevant chemical delivery experience.
- Class A CDL with Tanker, Bulk, and/or Hazmat endorsement(s) as required; current DOT medical card; TWIC if location requires; ability to drive a manual transmission.
- Minimum: 1 year liquid bulk hauling or 3 years of commercial truck driving (preferred).
- Certification from Accredited Commercial Driving Academy (preferred).
- Must be willing to work overtime/weekends; comfortable with general warehouse duties; able to read/write in English; basic math.
- Able to operate technology-based devices (smartphones/tablets) and safety systems (Samsara); willing to use PPE and respirators when required.
- Local resident within sixty miles; no lodging provided; able to pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and E-verify.

- Additional experience with chemical delivery; experience with pallets, drums, IBCs, and supersacks; forklift certification where required.
