SMS Staffing is hiring CDL Class A Driver in Lake County, IL
Job Title: CDL Class A Driver Pay Rate: Approximately $27–$30/hr Position Type: Full-Time
Position Summary We are looking for dependable, safety-focused CDL Class A Drivers to transport materials between customer and warehouse locations. Recent CDL school graduates are encouraged to apply!
CDL Driver Responsibilities:
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles
- Complete pickups, deliveries, and trailer swaps
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate paperwork and delivery records
- Communicate with dispatch regarding schedules and delays
- Follow all DOT and company safety requirements
CDL Driver Requirements:
- Valid CDL Class A license and current DOT medical card
- Clean and acceptable driving record
- Ability to safely operate tractor-trailers
- Reliable attendance and strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Transportation, logistics, warehouse, or manufacturing experience is a plus, and new CDL graduates are welcome!
