A dedicated CDL-A Yard Driver opportunity in Chester, NY offering home-daily work, hourly pay, overtime, paid training, holiday pay, and full-time benefits.
This is a yard-only position. Drivers will not leave the yard and will spend the majority of the day moving and spotting trailers, keeping the yard organized, and working with yard equipment.
PAY & BENEFITS
Regular Pay: $23 per hour for the first 40 hours
Overtime Pay: $34.50–$36 per hour after 40 hours
Average Weekly Hours: Approximately 60 hours
Average Annualized Earnings: $83,720
Holiday Pay: $180 per day
Training Pay: $200 per day

HOME TIME & SCHEDULE
Home Daily
Sunday–Thursday schedule

JOB DETAILS
Local dedicated CDL-A Yard Driver
Yard-only operation
Driver will not leave the yard
Move trailers to and from yards and docks
Spot trailers to and from docks and yards
Maintain an orderly yard
Work with yard hostlers and yard equipment
Frequent climbing into and out of equipment
Manual hooking and unhooking of equipment
Raise and lower landing gear multiple times throughout the day
Automatic yard equipment
Fast-paced work environment
Work performed in hot and cold temperatures, rain, and snow
DRIVER REQUIREMENTS
Valid Class A CDL
Minimum 3 months of CDL experience
Yard experience may count toward the experience requirement
Must have reliable personal transportation to and from work every day
Must be able to work a Sunday–Thursday schedule
Must be comfortable working approximately 60 hours per week
Must be able to perform frequent walking, climbing, hooking/unhooking, and equipment movement
Must be prepared to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This is a physically demanding yard position.
Drivers should be prepared to:
Climb in and out of yard hostlers multiple times per day
Walk frequently throughout the yard
Climb into and out of equipment
Manually hook and unhook trailers
Raise and lower landing gear repeatedly
Perform physical tasks throughout the shift
