Job title: CDL-A Driver - HazMat / Tanker & Warehouse Operations
About the Role Univar Solutions is seeking a dual-role CDL-A driver and warehouse/tank farm operator. This position combines operation of company transportation equipment with warehouse and tank-farm tasks, emphasizing safety, regulatory compliance, and professional interaction with customers and business partners.
What You'll Do
- Pick-up and delivery of hazardous materials and wastes, and complete inspections and paperwork associated with hazardous materials and waste pickup transport
- Ensure safety and compliance of loads
- Use onboard Samsara e-Logging Device to manage driver duty statuses and planned freight order delivery routing sequencing
- Use ePOD device to accurately capture customer delivery receipt of goods and other relevant shipment documents
- Perform all other duties as required to make proper deliveries and pick-ups for customers
What We're Looking For
- Ability to read, write, count, understand and speak English
- Valid Class A CDL license with HazMat and Tanker endorsements
- Ability to use and maintain respiratory protection equipment
- 2+ years of CDL-A driving experience
- Experience operating a tractor-trailer in varying conditions (highway, local roads, city, maneuvering in tight spaces)
- Physical ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds, tilt back or move 800 lb. drums, and stand/walk for long periods
- Able to pass company drug tests and satisfy all DOT physical qualifications
- May be handling potentially hazardous substances
