CCDEG Data Scientist

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

To be successful as a “CCDEG Data Scientist”, you should have experience with:

Basic/ Essential Qualifications:

• Strong experience in Python programming, with a focus on data science and machine learning applications.
• Strong knowledge of statistics, data analysis, and software design principles.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing machine learning pipelines (data preprocessing, feature engineering, model selection, evaluation, and deployment).
• Proficiency with Python data science libraries such as pandas, NumPy, statsmodel, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Experience working with large datasets and data wrangling.
• Ability to communicate complex data-driven insights to business stakeholders.

Desirable skillsets/ good to have:

• Hands on Experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
• Familiarity with deep learning architectures and frameworks.
• Experience in DataBricks, Mlflow (MLOps)
• Experience in Bedrock, Langchain
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for scalable data science solutions.
• Experience working in agile, collaborative, and global team environments.
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn and apply new data science techniques.
