Position Summary
Gettysburg College’s Dining Center is seeking Catering Staff to work on a casual, on-call basis throughout the campus serving for various college events and conferences. Positions work more hours during the academic year, and sporadically during the summer months. These positions perform all necessary functions including preparing the serving line, safe food handling, and serving customers at specialty lunches and other private events in various locations on and off campus. Catering Staff are often the face of the College for our guests, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, trustees, prospective students and their families, and conference attendees, so friendly, professional, and attentive customer service is central to this role.
There are no benefits associated with these positions.
Qualifications

The successful candidates must be able to read and understand simple instructions, communicate clearly and courteously with guests and co-workers, and work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A professional appearance and a pleasant, welcoming manner are expected at all times. Flexible work schedules (including nights and weekends) are required. Valid driver’s license is recommended with a favorable driving record as outlined by the College fleet policy.
