About this role
Lead and grow procurement category capabilities across China, covering direct and/or indirect category management, strategic program management, business partnering, and procurement sourcing to contract systems, ensuring scalable, compliant, and value-driven procurement operations. Your main responsibilities are: Category Management (Direct & Indirect) - Lead sourcing strategies across direct (Production materials and CDMO outsourcing) and/or indirect categories (R&D consumables, IT, HR, Eng& Capex, Facility, MICE, professional services) - Drive supplier selection, performance management, and total cost of ownership optimization Procurement Program Management - Manage cross-functional procurement projects (e.g., enable e-sourcing system implementation, support transformation initiatives) - Coordinate resource allocation and ensure strategic project delivery Business Partnering - Act as primary interface between procurement and non-clinical business functions - Translate business needs or budget plan into sourcing plan and procurement strategies Process & System Governance - Optimize procurement sourcing & contracts strategy to enable streamlined, effective and touchless PR-PO processes and low deviation of commercial rates - Support system-related initiatives (Coupa, Ariba, SAP, OA, PowerApps) - Ensure governance and compliance of procurement sourcing to contract activities for direct and/or indirect categories Risk & Compliance Management - Ensure adherence to procurement policies and regulatory requirements - Support financial controls such as invoice matching and approval workflows (applicable for legacy U8 ERP system only) – Nice to have Identify and mitigate strategic supplier risks impacting GxP and Product-to-Market delivery Capability Building / Center of Excellence - Develop and evolve category strategy, e-tools, and efficient & effective methodologies, e.g., e-Catalog buying model for indirect category - Develop and evolve category strategy, and efficient & effective methodologies, e.g., strategic CDMO Alliance model for direct category - Drive continuous improvement in data, analytics, and risk management on critical GMP BOM materials and supply risk mitigation scheme, e.g., VMI supply model What you have to offer: CIPS level 5+, CPSM or equivalent qualification, Supply Chain, or Business Administration 8+ years (Category Specialist) and 5+ years (Manager+) of experience in Direct and/or Indirect Category Procurement Hands-on experience with SAP, Ariba, or similar digital procurement platforms Strong data analysis, communication, and project management skills Fluent in English; experience in multinational or matrix organizations preferred BioNTech 重视每一位团队成员的福祉，为多元化的员工提供全面的福利保障。我们提供具有市场竞争力的薪酬方案，具体将根据职位、工作地点及候选人资历与经验综合确定。注：各项福利的实际适用范围、享有条件及具体内容可能因所在地而异，最终以公司内部政策及当地法律法规为准。
