About the Role
The Category Management Specialist will drive data-driven category strategies for SIG, combining market research, procurement data insights, and bid management to optimize costs and supplier performance. You will partner with cross-functional teams to uncover opportunities and ensure compliance across assigned categories. What You'll Do
- Conduct supplier and market analysis to identify cost structures and benchmarks.
- Leverage procurement and financial data to uncover trends and drive efficiency.
- Analyze historical spend data to identify sourcing opportunities and measure supplier compliance.
- Execute various bid events (RFP, RFQ, RFI, Reverse Auctions) across assigned categories. What We're Looking For
- +5 years of experience in positions focused on data analysis in finance, consolidation and reporting; SME in data analysis/financial processes
- Master's degree in supply chain management, business, or finance
- Experience in procurement (e.g., T&L, MRO, Secondary Packaging, or corporate services) is a plus
- System proficiency: SAP, Ariba, SharePoint, Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, Minitab, and spend analytics
- Microsoft Office Expertise: Advanced skills in Excel (data analysis) and PowerPoint (presentation creation)
- SIG competencies: willingness to achieve results under tough circumstances, collaboration, and building customer relationships
