About the Role AGCO is seeking a Category Buyer to manage sourcing across multiple sub-categories within a broader category, align supplier strategy, optimize costs, negotiate contracts, and manage risk. This role supports the Global and Regional Category Managers in executing category strategies and requires cross-functional collaboration with Operations and Finance to drive savings for Italy's Operations and Facilities categories. What You'll Do
- Manage sourcing across multiple sub-categories; align supplier strategy; cost optimization; contract negotiation; risk management; support category strategy led by Global and Regional Category Managers.
- Lead supplier selection, market analysis, and performance evaluations; manage RFx preparation, execution, and analysis.
- Drive cost reductions and process improvements; achieve savings targets for Operations and Facilities categories in Italy.
- Develop long-term strategy deployment; supplier cost modelling; make/buy analyses; long-term contracts; continuous supplier performance improvement; supplier relationship development.
- Assist Regional and Global Category Managers with contracting suppliers for cost-optimized commodities.
- Develop knowledge of category trends and cost drivers; stay abreast of industry trends.
- Manage priorities and internal stakeholders; cross-functional with Operations and Finance; special projects. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of sourcing experience, preferably in indirect operations categories; knowledge of Purchase-to-Pay.
- Strong analytical and influencing skills; excellent negotiation skills; ability to work independently; team player; comfortable in a multicultural environment.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communications skills in English and Italian.
