Job title: Catalog Data Governance and Reporting Manager
About the Role The Catalog Data Governance and Reporting Manager will lead the data governance and reporting for Genuine Parts Company's USAG Catalog Look-Up applications (NAPA U.S. and NAPA Canada). This role is responsible for establishing and promoting modern data governance principles, policies, standards, processes, and tools to monitor and improve data quality and maintain catalog information across the organization. The position requires a blend of business and technical acumen, collaboration, and effective communication with internal partners at all levels to define and implement new processes and standards.
What You'll Do
- Grow the data governance practice and roadmap, prioritizing development of governance and reporting capabilities.
- Develop a data governance framework focusing on data quality improvement and sustainment of policies, standards, governance metrics, processes, tools, and data architecture.
- Define roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure accountability for stewardship of the company’s primary product catalog and information assets.
- Serve as a liaison between Business, Functional areas and Technology to ensure data-related business requirements are clearly defined, communicated and understood, and considered in prioritization and planning.
- Define performance indicators and quality metrics; ensure compliance with data-related policies, roles, and adoption.
- Facilitate development and implementation of data quality standards, data quality reporting and dashboards, and data insights/adoption across the organization.
- Lead resources from Business/Functional areas and IT to achieve objectives; resolve issues escalated from data governance and enrichment representatives.
- Provide progress reports to Department Leadership and oversee periodic updates to the department roadmap.
- Identify new business opportunities pertaining to the use of information assets to achieve efficiency and represent data as a strategic business asset.
- Willingness to travel within the United States and Canada; represent the company professionally in dealings with GPC Suppliers, Employees of GPC, and Customers of GPC.
- Willing to perform any and all tasks as directed by management.
