About the Role Casual Courier Driver with DHL Express Canada in Saskatoon. This onsite, part-time seasonal role delivers and picks up shipments, scans waybills, maintains professional service standards while coordinating with internal teams.
What You'll Do
- Use GCA scanner for all required activities on the daily route; scan all scannable waybills, laser waybills, shippers own bar-coded labels.
- Deliver all assigned material in the route area per customer and DHL requirements.
- Pick up of all assigned customer pickups within the specific guidelines of the Customer and DHL.
- Determine if a customer has a valid account prior to delivery or pick-up.
- Compile and submit accurate route records daily.
- Inform DHL of route irregularities and significant competitor activity.
- Manage heavyweight deliveries, including handling deliveries personally or arranging third-party provider when required to meet service requirements.
- Maintain professional representation of DHL: vehicle, uniform, waybills/product.
- Proactively manage the customer’s perception of and level of satisfaction with our service.
- Ensure on-time pick-up and delivery of shipments.
- Interact with other members of the customer service and operation teams.
- Alert the Sales Department to potential customer opportunities and/or vulnerabilities.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure; provide current driver’s abstract (no infractions).
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- High School Education.
- Able to lift up to 70 lbs unassisted.
- Note: shift start/finish timings may vary based on location; flexibility required.
- Uniforms are supplied.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly wage: $23.35 per hour.
