About the Role
Precision Castparts is seeking a Casting Inspector to identify and record casting defects, determine defect severity, verify alloy type in each casting, and visually inspect castings before release to support engineering and process control in resolving processing variations.
What You'll Do
- Visually inspect all castings for defects, using boroscopes, mirrors, and other hand tools as necessary.
- Verify alloy type in each casting and visually inspect castings before release for further processing.
- Identify and record defects, their severity, and the responsible department to assist engineering and process control in resolving processing variations.
- Verify part quality through instrumentation tests prior to routing for further processing.
