About the Role Now Hiring: Cashier at McKeever Price Chopper in Independence, MO. You’ll be the face of the store, delivering outstanding customer experiences, operating the checkout lane, and helping customers locate products to ensure a smooth shopping experience. What You'll Do
- Greet each customer with eye contact and a sincere "Thank you"
- Provide friendly, helpful, easy, and safe service that meets customer expectations
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude in line with company standards
- Operate the register quickly and accurately, handling various forms of payment
- Stay informed on regulations regarding WIC, food stamps, alcohol/tobacco, and lottery (if applicable)
- Promote additional product sales when appropriate
- Keep cashier area and store clean and organized
- Assist customers with bagging and locating items
- Return misplaced products to shelves
- Resolve customer complaints courteously and professionally What We're Looking For
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Dependable and trustworthy with a professional attitude
- Basic math and literacy skills (8th grade level)
- Ability to count money accurately
- Physical Requirements: Stand for 4–8 hour shifts; Frequent walking, bending, and reaching; Use of hands, wrists, and arms repetitively; Lift up to 10 lbs frequently, up to 36 lbs occasionally; Push/pull up to 40 lbs occasionally Compensation & Benefits
