About the Role Columbia Dining Services is looking for a Cashier to support daily transaction operations in a dynamic, customer-focused dining environment. The role involves calculating item costs, processing cash and card payments, and securely handling cash and bank deposits under supervision.
What You'll Do
- Set up cash register with sufficient change obtained from supervisor.
- Calculate the cost of items purchased and enter on register (Cash or charge).
- Collect cash and make change.
- Collect cards for charge customers and scan on register.
- At end of the shift, clear register, record the cash received, and hand over cash to supervisor with bank.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management personnel.
What We're Looking For
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Some experience/minimum of 6 months related experience required.
