About the Role The University of Delaware is seeking a skilled journeyman carpenter to perform a wide range of carpentry work within Facilities Services and Campus Planning. The role involves constructing and repairing wood structures, installing cabinets and drywall, and reading blueprints to meet trade standards on UD campuses.
What You'll Do
- Performs rough and finished carpentry; builds/constructs partitions, joists, studding, rafters, wood stairways, window and door frames, and hardwood floors; cuts, fits, installs, and repairs cabinets and drywall to specifications.
- Modifies, repairs, and maintains buildings and building surfaces; inspects, repairs and/or replaces ceiling tiles.
