Cargo Crew

About the Role BRINKS is seeking a Cargo Crew in Balikpapan to manage loading, receiving, and dispatching valuable cargo in accordance with SOPs. You will help ensure cargo quantity, condition, and seals align with shipping documents, and you will safeguard cargo throughout reception, temporary storage, and delivery. The role requires strict adherence to security procedures, confidentiality of cargo and customer information, and active participation in safety and reporting processes.

What You'll Do

• Perform loading and unloading of valuable cargo according to SOP.
• Ensure cargo quantity, condition, and seals match delivery documents.
• Safeguard cargo during receiving, temporary storage, and shipping.
• Follow all SOPs for Security & Compliance (Valuable Logistics), uphold security policies, and maintain confidentiality of cargo and customer information; conduct physical security measures per company standards.
• Complete and verify operational documents, including Delivery Note/Manifest, Delivery Checklist, and Handover Report; promptly report any non-conformities, damages, losses, or incidents to a supervisor.
• Adhere to ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety practices: wear PPE as required, implement K3 procedures in every activity, and participate in emergency response if incidents occur.
• Maintain assets and equipment: use tools per function and procedure, report damage or discrepancies, and keep the work area clean and orderly.
• Exercise “WEWENANG” (authority): refuse processing of shipments/receipts if documents or cargo conditions are non-conforming and temporarily halt operations if safety or security risks arise.
• Build and maintain relationships internally with Supervisor, Operations Team, Security, and Admin Operasional; externally with Drivers, Vendors, and Customers as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Minimal SMA/SMK or equivalent education and experience in logistics, cargo, or security is a plus.
• Being meticulous, disciplined, and responsible.
• Ability to work in a team.
• High integrity and loyalty.
• Willingness to work shifts and operate under pressure.
