Job Summary

• We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team.
• The Caregiver will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to children aged between 3 months to 5 years in our nursery school.
• The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for working with children, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to creating a safe and stimulating environment for young learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing responsible care and maintaining impeccable hygiene and safety standards
• Ensuring a safe, sanitary and orderly environment
• Maintaining professional and positive relationships with parents, children, and staff
• Observing and monitoring children's progress and behaviour, and communicating with teachers, or parents/guardians as needed
• Assisting with meal times, toileting/diapering and other daily routines
• Cleaning up after the children
• Encouraging children to participate in all activities
• Collaborating with other caregivers and staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the nursery school
• Assisting in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of children.

Requirements

• Minimum certification OND or NCE
• Proficiency in oral and written English
• A positive attitude and a genuine passion for working with children
• Experience working with children, 5 years old or younger
• Creativity and willingness to sing, dance and be silly with young children
• Must possess exceptional listening skills, compassion and ability to keep composure
• Must be able to work effectively as part of a team
• Previous experience in a professional childcare environment is an added advantage
• Although not required, entry level auxiliary nursing experience will be an added advantage.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be willing to undergo medical screening
• Paediatric First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain certification)
• Safeguarding training (or willingness to undergo training).
