Our clients Product, Design & Marketing Operations team is seeking a Career Frameworks Specialist who will step into a project that is already underway and bring it across the finish line. You’ll assess the current state of existing career frameworks; close the remaining gaps; and deliver finalized, launch-ready frameworks for various functional roles, levels, and experiences.

Description

  • The Career Frameworks Specialist will deliver complete career frameworks that give employees a clear road map for growth and give managers a standardized system to evaluate performance. The role involves understanding the broader talent and performance landscape here, while identifying the skills and capabilities employees need to achieve success within PD&M specifically. In this role, you’ll review the work completed to date, validate against project goals, and identify remaining needs to complete the frameworks. This includes job architecture, role levels, competencies, and career pathways. You’ll also align with internal stakeholders and prepare final deliverables to roll out. You will partner closely with Operations leadership, People Business Partners, and business leaders to ensure the final frameworks are consistent, defensible, and usable.

Responsibilities

  • Review existing project materials, including drafts, research, stakeholder input, and timelines, to quickly understand project status, decisions made, and open items
  • Conduct a gap analysis and build a prioritized plan to complete remaining work within the contract timeline (12 months)
  • Ensure consistency in language, leveling criteria, and structure across all roles and functions
  • Facilitate needed working sessions and review cycles with subject matter experts, People partners, and business leaders to resolve open questions and secure approvals
  • Incorporate stakeholder feedback and make clear, documented recommendations when trade-offs are required
  • Validate the frameworks against internal standards, market benchmarks, and organizational needs
  • Create final deliverables and supporting materials, including framework documentation, manager and employee guides, FAQs, and communication and rollout content
  • Track progress, risks, and dependencies and report status to project sponsor on a regular cadence
  • Prepare thorough handoff documentation so internal teams can maintain and evolve the frameworks after the engagement ends

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in career architecture, job architecture, competency modeling, talent management, organizational design, or a related HR field
  • Demonstrated experience building or implementing career frameworks, leveling guides, or competency models from start to finish
  • Proven ability to step into an in-progress project, assess status, and drive it to completion independently
  • Experience collaborating with highly matrixed and globally distributed teams and stakeholders
  • Experience prioritizing competing demands in a corporate environment
  • Ability to connect with others and build relationships by demonstrating integrity and fostering trust in a short amount of time
  • Organization and acute attention to detail
  • Polished communication skills to motivate, influence, and impress using multiple methods

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience developing career frameworks for a creative organization or other entity
  • Active engagement in the design or creative community, with awareness of major industry trends
  • Advocacy for thinking, speaking, and collaborating inclusively, fostering a culture that encourages and celebrates diverse experiences and perspectives
  • Innovative problem-solving that combines functional expertise with resourcefulness
  • Familiarity with creative organizations, including a firm grasp of the functional skills and responsibilities of various design, content, and product management roles
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and ability to thrive in an environment of continuous improvement and constant change
