Location: Epsom

Pay: £16.25 per hour

Shifts: Friday & Saturday Nights - 9 pm - 6 am

Driver required: Yes - full UK licence and access to your own vehicle

Job Description

What you’ll do

• Join a dedicated care team supporting a delightful and sociable child to reach his full potential.

• You will provide specialist care for a child with complex medical needs, supporting daily living, light domestic tasks, and a range of social and sensory activities, including messy and water play, outdoor exploration, arts and crafts, and attending discos.

• Care will be delivered in line with an individualised care plan and includes tracheostomy care, ventilation support, PEG feeding for hydration, and specialist moving and handling due to spinal instability.

• You will be fully supported by the Advantage Healthcare London branch, with regular supervision, team meetings, and ongoing training and clinical support from a registered nurse.

Qualifications

• What you’ll need

Prior to the interview stage you need to have the following experience to be eligible:

• Experience working in a complex care setting.

• Experience in moving and handling.

• Experience in tracheostomy & PEG feed care.

• Experience of looking after a ventilated child.

• Experience with suctioning.

• Experience with Makaton or alternative communication methods.

• You will need to be a car driver due to the location.
