Job title: Cardiovascular Services Technologist
About the Role Cardiovascular Services Technologist works in the Cardiac Cath Lab alongside physicians, using specialized equipment to assist in invasive procedures for diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease, with a focus on high-quality patient care.
What You'll Do
- Assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures in the Cath Lab using specialized equipment
- Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies; ensure patient safety and comfort
- Demonstrate thorough understanding of vascular and related anatomy; place leads and electrodes
- Operate EMR systems, scheduling tools, telephones, faxing, copying, scanning as needed
- Exhibit excellent customer service and effective interdepartmental communication; maintain confidentiality
- Works well in a team or independently with minimal supervision; on-call as required
- Maintain regular attendance, multi-task, and apply problem-solving skills; adhere to unit safety plans
- Understand and follow isolation precautions to mitigate exposure risks
- May assist with scheduling of cardiology patients
What We're Looking For
- Satisfactory completion of formal imaging technology program; OBMI registration; ARRT (R) certification
- ACLS required at date of hire; BLS required
- Knowledge of medical terminology; ability to use computers and EMR systems
- Working knowledge of leads/electrodes placement; cardiovascular tests and related duties
- Strong communication, confidentiality, and teamwork; ability to work with minimal supervision
- Prior cardiovascular lab experience; hospital setting preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach; lift up to 75 pounds; on-call capability
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Additional advanced certifications preferred (e.g., Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Vascular Intervention Certification, Cardiac Intervention Certification)
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $43.74 - $64.92 per hour (USD)
