Cardiovascular Services Technologist

About the Role Cardiovascular Services Technologist uses a variety of specialized equipment in assisting the physician in the performance of invasive procedures, resulting in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac and peripheral vascular disease while providing the highest level of patient care in the Cardiac Cath Lab. What You'll Do

• Assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures and uses specialized equipment to support diagnoses and treatments.
• Prepare, monitor, and manage patient care before, during, and after procedures; ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Maintain proficiency with EMR and other computer/software applications; document appropriately.
• Demonstrate knowledge of vascular and related organ anatomy; perform lead/electrode placement.
• Maintain confidentiality, work independently or as part of a team, and take call as required.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdepartmental staff; uphold safety plans for the unit.
• Understand and perform duties related to cardiovascular tests and associated procedures. What We're Looking For
• Satisfactory completion of formal imaging technology training program; current OBMI registration.
• American Heart Association ACLS and BLS certifications at date of hire.
• ARRT (R) certification; Image Wisely and Image Gently pledges obtained within required timelines.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred; additional advanced certifications preferred.
• Prior cardiovascular lab experience required; 3 years in a Cardiac Cath lab preferred; hospital experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 75 pounds; proficient with anatomy and cardiovascular testing; strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills. Nice to Have
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Additional advanced certifications preferred.
• Job codes 626/630-specific certifications: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Vascular Intervention Certification, and/or Cardiac Intervention Certification (as applicable). Compensation & Benefits
• Salary: $43.74 - $64.92 per hour (DOE/experience).
