About the Role The Cardiovascular Medical Assistant (CMA) supports the nursing team by collecting essential patient information and assisting in care delivery under the supervision of nursing staff. The role includes reviewing medical records for provider visits, communicating concerns to the team, and following physician orders in the EMR to coordinate tests and discharge when appropriate. What You'll Do
- Collect chief complaint, medication list, allergies, vital signs, and medical history; assist in obtaining and reviewing medical records for provider visits
- Communicate concerns or issues to nursing staff or provider
- Follow physician orders in the electronic medical record system, including scheduling diagnostic tests, lab work, ECGs, and facilitating patient discharge under the direction of the nursing team
- Support patient care and discharge planning as directed What We're Looking For
- Current certification from CCMA (NHA), RMA (AMT), CMA (AAMA), NRCMA (National Association for Health Professionals), or NCMA (NCCT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to work under the nursing team and follow physician orders in an EMR Compensation & Benefits
