Jump Trading is seeking a Campus Software Engineer (Full-Time) to join our Core Development team in Chicago, IL. This role is designed for new graduates who want to learn advanced software engineering skills while contributing to a distributed trading system and one of the world’s largest supercomputers. You will work alongside experienced engineers and gain exposure to C++, Python, SDLC, and test automation, with opportunities to contribute to market data, order entry, risk management, simulation, and UI development. The position includes a base salary of $250,000 per year and a comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and maintain our distributed trading system and related infrastructure.
- Learn and apply advanced skills in C++, Python, SDLC, and test automation while collaborating with experienced engineers.
- Contribute to areas of our technology infrastructure focused on market data, order entry, risk management, simulation, and/or UI development.
- Assist with the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of high-performance software in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Requirements

Hands-on experience and high proficiency in C++ development on Linux.

Hands-on experience and high proficiency in Python development on Linux.

Strong understanding of data structures and threading models.

Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced environment and deploy new software daily.

Passion for solving complex problems and building optimal solutions from scratch.

Interest in applying knowledge from hardware, networking, and OS design to produce extremely high-performance software.
