Campus Safety Officer
Occidental College is seeking a Campus Safety Officer to serve as the frontline safety presence across campus, adjacent properties, and Greek housing. The role involves high-visibility patrols, emergency response, incident documentation, and access control to support a safe and secure campus environment. Reports to a Campus Safety Sergeant or Corporal.
What You'll Do
- Perform high-visibility vehicle and foot patrols on campus, at adjacent rental homes, and at sorority/fraternity houses to deter crime and apprehend lawbreakers.
- Enforce parking and vehicle permits.
- Respond to requests for assistance and to emergency calls, fire alarms, and intrusions on campus and rental properties.
- Prepare incident reports, write work requests, and maintain a daily log of shift activities.
