Job title: Campus Rec staff Level 1
About the Role Campus Rec staff Level 1 supports Schreiner University's Campus Recreation program by setting up and cleaning up game spaces, refereeing games, and ensuring a safe, fair, and engaging environment. The role also assists with gym events, record-keeping, and content creation to promote student involvement.
What You'll Do
- Set up/clean up game space; referee games; check in players on Pounce; explain rules; arrive in full uniform with whistle and appropriate colored shirt
- Supervise game space to ensure safety; monitor for unsportsmanlike conduct; enforce rules and dress code
- Complete daily task list; assist with gym events; assist in spotting gym patrons; assist with record boards; supervise gym safety/atmosphere; monitor area to ensure rules are followed
- Manage Night and Weekend Facility Management (CCAC); open/close CCAC; manage Lion’s Den; check out equipment; report facility usage and attendance; set up TV, projector, and gaming equipment; host gaming tournaments; contribute to content creation/marketing for Student Affairs
- Enforce gym safety and cleanliness; oversee gym equipment replacement, cleanliness, events, and overall gym health; ensure laundry is done and the gym plays clean, appropriate music
