Job title: Camera Shader (Athletics Control Room)
About the Role The Camera Shader will set up, operate, and breakdown the camera shading station for Villanova Athletics game productions, coordinating with the Game Director and Building Engineer to achieve the intended look. This temporary role is part of the Athletics Game Production team, supporting the script-driven production of live events.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with the Game Director and Building Engineer to set camera look and shading for all cameras (robotic and manned) in coordination with the game script
- Assist with selection, assembly, and positioning of equipment (cameras, stands) throughout the venue
- Maintain, clean, and test all equipment to ensure tools are in good working order each day before events
- Participate in pre-event coordination planning meetings
- Ensure safety of equipment and comply with safety standards for audio equipment
- Provide support to other venue areas as needed and assist with special projects
What We're Looking For
- 1-2 years of related camera operations experience in live game production
- Proficiency with studio production equipment and ability to operate camera systems (robotic and manned)
- Familiarity with event production language and working knowledge of current technology
- Ability to follow scripts, safety guidelines, and collaborate with Athletics Marketing/Operations staff and venue engineers
- Strong organizational and teamwork skills
