Job title: Camarero/a - Restaurante
About the Role You will be a restaurant service professional at Sol Sun Beach by Meliá Apartamentos in Tenerife South, responsible for delivering an exceptional service to guests in your assigned restaurant, collaborating with the wait staff and supervisors.
What You'll Do
- Execute, autonomously and responsibly, the service and sale of food and beverages.
- Prepare work areas for service.
- Provide direct customer service for consumption of drinks or meals.
- Prepare simple dishes for consumption.
- Transport tools and equipment necessary for the service.
- Inspect and control merchandise and items used in the section.
- Assist in the setup, service and dismantling of buffets.
- Perform customer-facing tasks such as flambéing, cutting, carving, descaling.
- Collaborate with the head of dining room in the preparation and development of special events.
- May coordinate and supervise duties within your area.
- Inform and advise guests about the composition and preparation of the various products available.
- May attend to guest complaints.
- Billing and collecting payments from guests.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum education: ESO/EGB; hospitality-specific training valued.
- Experience: 1-2 years.
- Food handler's certificate (Carnet de Manipulador de Alimentos).
- Residence: Tenerife South.
- Required language: English – Intermediate.
