About the Opportunity
We are looking for a Calypso Business Analyst / Functional Analyst to join a newly established team supporting the Capital Markets ecosystem of a major European banking institution. This is a unique opportunity to become part of a strategic initiative aimed at building a brand-new team from the ground up. The team will be responsible for supporting, enhancing, and evolving critical Capital Markets operations and systems, with a strong focus on the Calypso platform. You will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping to translate business requirements into functional solutions while contributing to the continuous improvement of trading, risk, and post-trade processes. The position offers long-term stability, exposure to complex financial products, and the possibility of future internalization with the end client after a successful collaboration period.

Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements related to Calypso; collaborate with Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Risk, and Operations teams; translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and user stories; participate in the design and implementation of Calypso enhancements and new functionalities; support incident analysis and resolution in cooperation with technical teams; facilitate communication between business stakeholders and development teams; assist with testing activities, including SIT, UAT, and production validation; contribute to process optimization initiatives across Capital Markets operations; support system upgrades, releases, and platform transformation projects.
Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst within financial services; previous demonstrated experience working with the Calypso platform; strong understanding of Capital Markets products and trade lifecycle processes; experience gathering and documenting functional and business requirements; ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders; knowledge of Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Risk, or Operations workflows; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication skills in English: C1 proficiency.

Nice to Have: Exposure to derivatives, fixed income, FX, equities, or money markets; understanding of SQL and data analysis; experience working in investment banking environments; familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies; previous involvement in Calypso implementation, migration, or upgrade projects.
