Details: Stefanini Group is hiring! Stefanini is looking for Calibration Technician in Skaneateles, NY (Onsite)

Work Hours: M-F (40 hours)

Location

Skaneateles, NY

Shift: 1st Shift (8:00 AM -5:00 PM)

The Calibration Technician supports client's FLC R&D organization by coordinating calibration, maintenance, and repair activities for laboratory and test equipment used in the development of medical products. This role serves as the primary liaison with external service providers, maintains equipment records, supports purchasing activities, and helps ensure equipment availability, reliability, and compliance.

In addition, this position provides operational support to R&D laboratory managers, including conducting routine laboratory walkthroughs, documenting observations, managing laboratory supplies, and helping promote adherence to EHS requirements and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate calibration, service, and repair activities for laboratory and test equipment with external service providers and internal Metrology Team.
  • Maintain equipment records, calibration certificates, and inventory databases.
  • Review service and calibration documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Monitor and track calibration and repair expenses.
  • Support out-of-tolerance (OOT) investigations and equipment impact assessments.
  • Purchase laboratory consumables and supplies to support R&D laboratory operations.
  • Create purchase requisitions/orders using SAP, SRM, or other business systems.
  • Conduct routine laboratory walkthroughs to identify and document safety, compliance, housekeeping, and operational observations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, compliance, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Perform limited hands-on equipment inspections or calibration activities as needed.

Job Requirements

Details:

  • Associates degree or equivalent accepted with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in a related field.
  • Experience in manufacturing, final assembly, quality inspection, testing, laboratory operations, technical support, or other hands-on technical environments preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with equipment management databases.

  • Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise systems.

  • Experience with measurement tools such as gauges, callipers, multi-meters.

  • Experience working with external vendors or service providers.

  • Experience working in a laboratory, manufacturing, or regulated environment.

Pay Range:

  • $ 28.00 - $ 30.00
