This role offers hands-on exposure to global accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, and compliance processes across international business operations. This opportunity is ideal for CA students pursuing mandatory industrial training and looking to build a strong foundation in corporate finance, accounting operations, and global stakeholder management.What You Will DoWork with global teams geographically and across all Harman businessesPerform daily tasks in accordance with written instructions and based on guidance from the line manager or senior team membersCollaborate within the general ledger accounting team and the line managerProvide back-up for one selected team member as appointed by the line managerMonth end closing:Prepare and post journals entries for various standard and adhoc activities viz., Accruals, provisions, reserves, recharges, reclasses, etc.Reconcile key GL accounts to ensure no unusual balances are left in Balance SheetMaintenance of GL accounts, cost centers, WBS elements, etc. in SAP (where required)Reporting of Financials in Harman consolidation system.Balance Sheet Reconciliations:Reconcile various Balance Sheet GL accounts using standard templates and provide aging analysis where applicable.List open items with appropriate action plan and target dates of closureFollow up with relevant action owners to timely resolve open items.Compliance:Periodic review and update of Control documentsAdherence to compliance in all activities and ensure zero deficiencies.What You Need to Be SuccessfulCA finalists who want to pursue 1 year Industrial trainingStrong accounting knowledge, good understanding of US GAAP and IFRSStrong interpersonal skills with stakeholders and other colleaguesGood understanding of Chart of accounts, cost objectsStrongly demonstrate ownership qualities in the function you leadStrong communication and presentation skillsExcellent MS office suite skills (Excel, PPT, Word)Bonus Points if You Have CA Pursuing / Qualified CAAttention to detail, analytical, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skillsAbility to effectively work across functional boundaries to bring tasks to successful conclusionComing in with a Transformation mindset and the ability to challenge status quoWhat Makes You EligibleBe willing to work in an office; this role is eligible to work remotely up to full-time with occasional trips into the other office location required (this could be on 24-hour notice)What We Offer Access to employee discounts on world class HARMAN/Samsung products (JBL, Harman Kardon, AKG etc.)Professional development opportunities through HARMAN University’s business and leadership academiesHARMAN FlexConnect Program, offering a flexible hybrid work environment that fosters stronger collaboration, meaningful connections, and innovation through a minimum of three in-office days per week.An inclusive and diverse work environment that fosters and encourages professional and personal developmentTuition Reimbursement“Be Brilliant” employee recognition and rewards program#LI-AD3 About HARMAN: Where Innovation Unleashes Next-Level Technology Ever since the 1920s, we’ve been amplifying the sense of sound.
